Where can I buy basic groceries?
There is a 'Pulperia' near the highway entrance, a five minute walk away. You can find staples like softdrinks, ice, some produce and frozen goods.
Where is the nearest grocery store?
Parrita has two grocery stores along with numberous butcher shops
and bakeries. In downtown Jaco you will find two groceries stores. In
addition Maxi Bodega, the Latin American version of Wal Mart,
is located on the highway on the north end of town. Lastly you will
find the high end Auto Mercado on the entrance road to Los Suenos just
north of Jaco
Where is the night life?
Bejuco is a very small and quiet town community with no night scene. The two local hotels have restaurants and bars. For night life your best bet is to drive into Jacó.
Where is the nearest gas station?
The closest place for gasoline/diesel is about 5km from Bejuco. Jacó and Parrita also have gas stations.
Where can I get online?
Three local businesses in Esterillos Este have wireless internet, Xandari Resort, Pelicano hotel and the pizza shop. Some of these business may ask that you to buy a snack or have a few drinks in exchange for using their internet access. Parrita and Jaco have numerous internet cafes.
How close is the nearest medical care?
There
is a free government-run clinic in Parrita that will take emergencies.
There are also many private doctors and dentists practicing in
Parrita. Jacó also has many private clinics and doctors. For major medical problems, there is a full-scale hospital in Quepos.
